At that moment, the curtain inside God’s Great House tore completely into two parts. It tore from the top down to the bottom. The ground moved about and rocks broke into pieces. Places in the ground where people had buried dead bodies opened up. Many of God’s people who had died now became alive again. After Jesus became alive again, those people came up out of those places. They went into God’s city, Jerusalem. Many people saw them there. Matthew 27:51‭-‬53

As they were going to that place, they met a man called Simon. He came from the city called Cyrene. The Roman soldiers told Simon that he must carry Jesus’ cross. The soldiers took Jesus to the place that is called Golgotha. (Golgotha means the place of a skull. ) Matthew 27:32‭-‬33

他們出來的時候，遇見一個 古利奈 人，名叫 西門 ，就勉強他同去，好背着耶穌的十字架。 到了一個地方名叫 各各他 ，意思就是「髑髏地」。 馬太福音 27:32‭-‬33

They removed Jesus’ clothes from him. Instead, they put a dark red coat on him, like a king wears. They used some branches with thorns to make a crown for him. Then they put it on his head. They put a long stick in his right hand. They went down on their knees in front of him. They laughed at him and they said, ‘Hello, King of the Jews, you are great!’ Matthew 27:28‭-‬29

他們給他脫了衣服，穿上一件朱紅色袍子， 用荊棘編做冠冕，戴在他頭上，拿一根葦子放在他右手裏，跪在他面前，戲弄他，說：「恭喜， 猶太 人的王啊！」

So Pilate said to Jesus, ‘You hear what these men are saying against you. You should reply.’ But Jesus did not reply to what the men were saying against him, not even to one thing. Pilate was very surprised about this. Matthew 27:13‭-‬14

彼拉多就對他說：「他們作見證告你這麼多的事，你沒有聽見嗎？」 耶穌仍不回答，連一句話也不說，以致巡撫甚覺希奇。

So the words that the prophet Jeremiah wrote long ago now became true. He had said, ‘Then they took the 30 silver coins. It was the amount of money the people of Israel had agreed to pay for the man. They used this money to buy the pot-maker’s field. The Lord God had told me to do this.’ Matthew 27:9‭-‬10

這就應了先知耶利米的話，說：「他們用那三十塊錢，就是被估定之人的價錢，是以色列人中所估定的， 買了窰戶的一塊田；這是照着主所吩咐我的。」 馬太福音 27:9‭-‬10

Then Peter remembered that Jesus had said to him, ‘Tonight you will say three times that you do not know me. You will do it before the cockerel sings.’ So Peter went out of the yard. He began to weep a lot because he was very upset. Matthew 26:75

彼得想起耶穌所說的話：「雞叫以先，你要三次不認我。」他就出去痛哭。 馬太福音 26:75

But Jesus did not say anything. So Caiaphas said to him, ‘I use the authority of the God who lives. You must promise to tell us what is true. Are you the Messiah? Are you the Son of God?’ ‘You have said it,’ Jesus replied. ‘And I tell all of you, soon you will see the Son of Man. He will be sitting in the most important place at the right side of the Most Powerful God. You will also see him coming to earth. He will be riding on the clouds in the sky.’ Matthew 26:63‭-‬64

耶穌卻不言語。大祭司對他說：「我指着永生上帝叫你起誓告訴我們，你是上帝的兒子基督不是？」 耶穌對他說：「你說的是。然而，我告訴你們，後來你們要看見人子坐在那權能者的右邊，駕着天上的雲降臨。」 馬太福音 26:63‭-‬64

You should know that I could ask my Father God to help me. He would immediately send more than 12 large groups of angels to fight for me. They would save me. But then the things that God has said in the Bible about this would not happen. So, it must happen in this way.’ Matthew 26:53‭-‬54

你想，我不能求我父現在為我差遣十二營多天使來嗎？ 若是這樣，經上所說，事情必須如此的話怎麼應驗呢？」 馬太福音 26:53‭-‬54

You must stay awake and pray. God can help you, so that you will not do something wrong. You really want to do the right thing, but your bodies are weak.’ Matthew 26:41

總要警醒禱告，免得入了迷惑。你們心靈固然願意，肉體卻軟弱了。」 馬太福音 26:41

Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘Tonight, all of you will go away from me. It will happen in the way that the Bible says: God says, “I will kill the shepherd who leads the sheep. Then all the sheep will run away in different directions.” ’ Matthew 26:31
