On the tenth day of the seventh month of each year, you must go without eating to show sorrow for your sins, and no one, including foreigners who live among you, is allowed to work. ……You must celebrate this day each year—it is the Great Day of Forgiveness for all the sins of the people of Israel. The Lord told Moses and Aaron to say to the community of Israel: Any man with an infected penis is unclean, whether it is stopped up or keeps dripping. ……When any of you are unclean, you must stay away from the rest of the community of Israel. Otherwise, my sacred tent will become unclean, and the whole nation will die. Leviticus 15:1-3, 31

The Lord told Moses to say to the people: After you think you are healed of leprosy, you must ask for a priest to come outside the camp and examine you. And if you are well, ……These are the things you must do if you discover that you are unclean because of an itch or a sore, or that your clothing or house is unclean because of mildew. Leviticus 14:1-3, 54-57

If sores or boils or a skin rash should break out and start spreading on your body, you must be brought to Aaron or to one of the other priests. If the priest discovers that the hair in the infected area has turned white and that the infection seems more than skin deep, he will say, “This is leprosy—you are unclean.” Leviticus 13:2-3

When Aaron had finished burning the gifts, he lifted up his hands over the people. He had sacrificed the sin offering, the burnt offering and the fellowship offerings. Then he asked God to do good things for the people. And Aaron came down from the altar. Moses and Aaron went into the Tent of Meeting. When they came out, they asked God to do good things for the people. The bright light from the Lord appeared to the people to show how great he is. Then the Lord sent a fire to show that he accepted the gifts. It completely burnt all the fat and the offerings that were on the altar. The people were very happy when they saw this. They shouted and they fell down with their faces to the ground. Leviticus 9:22-24

Nadab and Abihu were sons of Aaron. They put hot material in the pots that they used to burn incense. They threw incense over the hot material. They offered the incense to the Lord. This was a wrong thing to do. The Lord had not told them that they should do it. So it was wrong. The Lord was angry and he sent fire to burn them. They died there in front of the Lord’s altar. Leviticus 10:1-2

Moses tied a piece of linen as a hat round Aaron’s head. On the front of this linen he put a plate of gold with valuable stones on it. The Lord had said that Moses must do this. ……He put a robe and a belt and a hat of linen on each of Aaron’s sons. The Lord had said that Moses must do this. ……Moses burnt the meat with the inside parts and the skin of the bull outside the camp. The Lord had said that Moses must do this. ……He washed the legs and the inside parts. He burnt them on the altar as an offering to the Lord. The smell of them while they were burning gave the Lord pleasure. The Lord had said that Moses must do this. ……Moses took his part of the animal, the meat of the ribs, and he lifted it up to the Lord. The Lord had said that Moses must do this. ……So Aaron and his sons did everything that the Lord had told Moses. Leviticus 8:9, 13, 17, 21, 29, 36
