Days and nights both belong to you. You put the moon and the sun in their places. You said where the land must be among the seas. You made both summer and winter. Psalms 74:16‭-‬17

So the Jews could do what they wanted with their enemies. They could kill them. In the city (Susa), the Jews killed 500 men. On the 14th day of the month called Adar the Jews killed 300 men in Susa. But they did not take the things of the people that they killed. In the provinces, the Jews killed 75,000 of their enemies. The Jews killed all the people who wanted to kill them. But they did not take the things of the people that they killed. They did that on the 13th day of Adar. Then, on the 14th day, the Jews in the provinces rested. They had feasts and they were very happy. Esther 9:5‭-‬6‭, ‬15‭-‬17

In all the kingdom, the Jews had feasts and they were very happy. Many people became Jews because of what happened. Esther 8:17

王的諭旨所到的各省各城，猶大人都歡喜快樂，設擺筵宴，以那日為吉日。那國的人民，有許多因懼怕猶大人，就入了猶大籍。 以斯帖記 8:17

Queen Esther replied, ‘I hope that you are happy with me. And perhaps you want to give me what I ask. If you do, please let me live. And let my people live. That is what I want. Someone has sold me and my people so that we will die. If he had sold us as male and female slaves, I would not have caused trouble for the king.’ Esther 7:3‭-‬4

After this, Mordecai returned to the King’s Gate. But Haman hurried home. He covered his face because he was ashamed and angry. He was ashamed and angry about what had happened. Mordecai sent back this answer. ‘Do not think that you, in the king’s palace, will be safer than all the other Jews. If you do not speak on behalf of the Jews at this time, help will come from another place. But you and your family will die. But perhaps you are queen for a time like this.’ Esther 4:13‭-‬14

末底改託人回覆以斯帖說：「你莫想在王宮裏強過一切猶大人，得免這禍。 此時你若閉口不言，猶大人必從別處得解脫，蒙拯救；你和你父家必致滅亡。焉知你得了王后的位分不是為現今的機會嗎？」 以斯帖記 4:13‭-‬14

The officers at the King’s Gate said to Mordecai, ‘You are not obeying the king’s law and you should obey it.’ They said this to Mordecai every day. But he would not bend his body down to Haman. So the officers told Haman that Mordecai would not bend his body down to him. Mordecai had told them that he was a Jew. So they wanted to know if Haman would excuse Mordecai. Esther 3:3‭-‬4

在朝門的臣僕問末底改說：「你為何違背王的命令呢？」 他們天天勸他，他還是不聽，他們就告訴哈曼，要看末底改的事站得住站不住，因他已經告訴他們自己是猶大人。 以斯帖記 3:3‭-‬4

So I purified the priests and Levites. I made them clean from anything foreign. I told them what they should do. I gave to each man a special job. I also made sure that people brought wood for the altar. I made them bring their first fruits. Remember me, my God. And please be good to me. Nehemiah 13:30‭-‬31
