Daniel heard that the king had written this new law. Then he went home. He went upstairs to his room where the windows opened in the direction of Jerusalem. He bent down on his knees and he prayed to God, and he thanked God. He did that three times every day, in the same way that he always had done before. Daniel 6:10

Then Daniel answered the king, ‘You can keep your gifts for yourself. You can make someone else important. But I will read the words for the king, and I will tell him what they mean. Daniel 5:17

His name was Daniel, but the king called him Belteshazzar. He was very clever and he knew many things. He could explain what dreams mean. He could find the answer to difficult problems. Send somebody to bring Daniel here. He will tell you what these words mean.’ Daniel 5:12

在他裏頭有美好的靈性，又有知識聰明，能圓夢，釋謎語，解疑惑。這人名叫但以理，尼布甲尼撒王又稱他為伯提沙撒，現在可以召他來，他必解明這意思。」

Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise the King of heaven as a great God. He always does what is right and fair. When people are proud, he can cause them to become humble. Daniel 4:37

現在我－尼布甲尼撒讚美、尊崇、恭敬天上的王；因為他所做的全都誠實，他所行的也都公平。那行動驕傲的，他能降為卑。 但以理書 4:37

This is a message from King Nebuchadnezzar. I am sending this message to everyone in the world, the people in every nation, and who speak every language. I hope that you all may have good and happy lives. I am happy to tell you about the powerful God who is over all. He has done miracles and great things for me. His miracles show his great strength. They are very powerful. His kingdom will continue for ever. He will always rule. Daniel 4:1‭-‬3

尼布甲尼撒王曉諭住在全地各方、各國、各族的人說：「願你們大享平安！ 我樂意將至高的上帝向我所行的神蹟奇事宣揚出來。 他的神蹟何其大！ 他的奇事何其盛！ 他的國是永遠的； 他的權柄存到萬代！
但以理書 4:1‭-‬3

Then King Nebuchadnezzar said, ‘Praise the God that Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego serve! He sent his angel to keep his servants safe. They continued to trust in their God. So they did not obey the command that I had made as king. They would not agree to serve any other god except their own God. They would rather have died than worship any other god. No other god can save people like their God has done for them. So I make a command for the people of every nation who speak any language. They must never say anything against the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. If anybody does that, my soldiers will cut them into pieces. They will knock down those people’s houses so that they become a heap of stones.’ Daniel 3:28‭-‬29

尼布甲尼撒說：「沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌的上帝是應當稱頌的！他差遣使者救護倚靠他的僕人，他們不遵王命，捨去己身，在他們上帝以外不肯事奉敬拜別神。 現在我降旨，無論何方、何國、何族的人，謗讟沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌之上帝的，必被凌遲，他的房屋必成糞堆，因為沒有別神能這樣施行拯救。」 但以理書 3:28‭-‬29

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego answered the king, ‘King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to say anything to show you that we are not guilty. We serve a great God. If you throw us into the very hot fire, he is able to keep us safe. Yes, sir, he will keep us safe from your power too. Daniel 3:16‭-‬17

沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌對王說：「尼布甲尼撒啊，這件事我們不必回答你， 即便如此，我們所事奉的上帝能將我們從烈火的窰中救出來。王啊，他也必救我們脫離你的手； 但以理書 3:16‭-‬17

The king said to Daniel, ‘It is true that your God is greater than all other gods. He rules over kings and he explains secret things. I know this because you were able to explain this dream to me.’ Daniel 2:47

王對但以理說：「你既能顯明這奧祕的事，你們的上帝誠然是萬神之神、萬王之主，又是顯明奧祕事的。」 但以理書 2:47

During the night, Daniel had a vision. God showed him the secret of the king’s dream. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven. Daniel 2:19

這奧祕的事就在夜間異象中給但以理顯明，但以理便稱頌天上的上帝。 但以理書 2:19

God helped these four young men to become clever and wise. While they studied, he helped them to learn from many different books. They could understood many things. Daniel could also understand the meaning of all kinds of dreams. ……Whenever the king needed help to understand something important, these men showed how wise they were. They knew ten times more than any of the king’s other wise men. Those men used magic or they studied the stars to know what was going to happen. They came from all the different countries that Nebuchadnezzar ruled. Daniel 1:17‭, ‬20
