You are hypocrites! You look at the earth and the sky, and you know what weather will come. So look at the special things that are happening near you now. They show you what will soon happen. But you do not understand what they are showing you. Why not? Luke 12:56

It is God that gives beautiful clothes even to the grass. One day the grass is growing in the field, but the next day people will cut it and burn it. God will certainly take care of you, much more than he takes care of the grass. You should trust him more than you do! Do not always be thinking about the food and drink that you need. Do not have trouble in your mind about them. Luke 12:28-29

It will be very bad for you Pharisees! When you grow spices to cook with food, you give a tenth part of these small things to God. You are right to obey this rule. But you do not do the most important things. You do not help people in a good way. You do not really love God. You should have done the important things as well as the other little things. ……It will be very bad for you teachers of God’s Law! You have studied God’s message. But you do not then accept it. You have also stopped people who really wanted to know God’s message. Then they could not go on to accept it and go into God’s kingdom.’ Luke 11:42, 52
我又告訴你們，你們祈求，就給你們；尋找，就尋見；叩門，就給你們開門。 ……你們中間作父親的，誰有兒子求餅，反給他石頭呢？求魚，反拿蛇當魚給他呢？ ……你們雖然不好，尚且知道拿好東西給兒女；何況天父，豈不更將聖靈給求他的人嗎？」

So I tell you this. Continue to ask God for what you need. Then God will give it to you. Continue to look for what you need. Then you will find it. Continue to knock at the door and God will open it for you. ……Some of you are fathers. If your son asks you for a fish, you would not give him a snake instead. ……You are bad. But even you know how to give good things to your children. Your Father in heaven knows much better than you do how to give good things to his children. So he will give the Holy Spirit to everyone who asks him.’ Luke 11:9, 11, 13

The man replied, ‘It says that we must love the Lord our God completely. We should love him with all our mind, with all that we are, and in all that we think and all that we do. We should also love other people as much as we love ourselves.’ ……But the man wanted to show that he had been right to ask a question. So he asked, ‘Who are the people near to me that I must love?’ …….Then Jesus asked the teacher of God’s Law a question. He said, ‘Three men saw the man that was lying on the road. Which of them showed love to him, like a real friend?’ He answered, ‘It was the man who was kind to him.’ Then Jesus said to him, ‘Yes. So you should go and do the same for other people.’ Luke 10:27, 29, 36-37
那七十個人歡歡喜喜地回來，說：「主啊！因你的名，就是鬼也服了我們。」 路加福音 10:17

耶穌又對眾人說：「若有人要跟從我，就當捨己，天天背起他的十字架來跟從我。 因為，凡要救自己生命的，必喪掉生命；凡為我喪掉生命的，必救了生命。 人若賺得全世界，卻喪了自己，賠上自己，有甚麼益處呢？ 路加福音 9:23-25
Then Jesus said to all the people that were there, ‘A person who wants to be my disciple must not think about himself. He must decide that his own life is not important. Every day he must be like someone who carries his own cross to go and die. Then he may come with me as my disciple. Whoever wants to keep his own life safe will lose it. But whoever gives his life to serve me will have true life. A person could get everything in the whole world for himself. But if he loses his life, this would not be any good for him. He will have destroyed himself in the end. Luke 9:23-25
