But the Lord did not want to destroy Judah, because of his promise to his servant David. The Lord had promised always to leave something like a light in Judah because of David, and because of his descendants. 2 Kings 8:19

Elisha answered, ‘Go back to him. Say to him, “Surely, you will get well after your illness.” But the Lord has shown to me that he will surely die.’ ……Then Hazael left Elisha and Hazael returned to his master the king. Ben-Hadad asked him, ‘What did Elisha say to you?’ Hazael replied, ‘He told me that you will surely get well.’ But the next day, Hazael took a thick cloth. He filled it with water. Then he put it over the king’s face until he died. So Hazael became king after Ben-Hadad. 2 Kings 8:10‭, ‬14‭-‬15

She came back from Philistia after seven years. She went to the king to ask for her house and for her fields. ……The king asked the woman about it and she told him. Then the king asked for an officer to come to him. The king said to him, ‘Give everything back to her. This must include all the money from her fields, from the day that she left until now.’ 2 Kings 8:3‭, ‬6

王派攙扶他的那軍長在城門口彈壓，眾人在那裏將他踐踏，他就死了，正如神人在王下來見他的時候所說的。 神人曾對王說：「明日約到這時候，在撒馬利亞城門口，二細亞大麥要賣銀一舍客勒，一細亞細麵也要賣銀一舍客勒。」 那軍長對神人說：「即便耶和華使天開了窗戶，也不能有這事。」神人說：「你必親眼看見，卻不得吃。」 這話果然應驗在他身上；因為眾人在城門口將他踐踏，他就死了。 列王紀下 7:17‭-‬20

The king had put his special officer by the gate of Samaria. He had held the arm of this officer earlier. The people caused this officer to fall by the gate as they ran past him. He fell under their feet and he died. The man of God had said that this would happen. He had said it when the king came down to his house. The man of God had said to the king that it would happen like this. ‘About this time tomorrow, 7 litres of flour will cost a shekel of silver,’ he had said. ‘15 litres of barley will cost a shekel at the gate of Samaria.’ The officer had said to the man of God, ‘This will not happen. Even if the Lord opens windows in the skies, it will not happen.’ The man of God had answered, ‘You will see it with your own eyes. But you will not eat any of it yourself!’ And that had really happened to him! The people had walked all over this officer by the gate and he had died. 2 Kings 7:17‭-‬20

以利沙禱告說：「耶和華啊，求你開這少年人的眼目，使他能看見。」耶和華開他的眼目，他就看見滿山有火車火馬圍繞以利沙。 列王紀下 6:17

Then Elisha prayed and he said, ‘Lord. Open the eyes of my servant so that he can see the angels.’ And the Lord opened the eyes of the servant. And he looked. And he saw that the hills round Dothan were full of horses and chariots. The chariots seemed to be on fire. They were God’s servants, and they were all round Elisha. 2 Kings 6:17

神人問說：「掉在哪裏了？」他將那地方指給以利沙看。以利沙砍了一根木頭，拋在水裏，斧頭就漂上來了。 列王紀下 6:6

The man of God asked him, ‘Where did it fall?’ He showed Elisha the place. Then Elisha cut a stick and he threw it there. It caused the iron axe to swim on the water. 2 Kings 6:6

以利沙對他說：「那人下車轉回迎你的時候，我的心豈沒有去呢？這豈是受銀子、衣裳、買橄欖園、葡萄園、牛羊、僕婢的時候呢？ 因此，乃縵的大痲瘋必沾染你和你的後裔，直到永遠。」基哈西從以利沙面前退出去，就長了大痲瘋，像雪那樣白。 列王紀下 5:26‭-‬27

But Elisha said to him, ‘My spirit was with you. It was there when the man came down from his chariot to meet you. This is not the time to take money, clothes, olive trees, vineyards, groups of animals or male and female servants. Naaman’s leprosy will always be with you and your children.’ Then Gehazi went away from Elisha. He had leprosy. His skin was as white as snow. 2 Kings 5:26‭-‬27

以利沙打發一個使者，對乃縵說：「你去在約旦河中沐浴七回，你的肉就必復原，而得潔淨。」 於是乃縵下去，照着神人的話，在約旦河裏沐浴七回；他的肉復原，好像小孩子的肉，他就潔淨了。 乃縵帶着一切跟隨他的人，回到神人那裏，站在他面前，說：「如今我知道，除了以色列之外，普天下沒有上帝。現在求你收點僕人的禮物。」 以利沙說：「我指着所事奉永生的耶和華起誓，我必不受。」乃縵再三地求他，他卻不受。 列王紀下 5:10‭, ‬14‭-‬16

Elisha sent a man with a message to Naaman. ‘Go to the river Jordan. Wash yourself 7 times in the river. Then your skin will be clean. You will not have leprosy.’ So Naaman went down to the river Jordan. He washed himself in it 7 times. That was what the man of God had asked him to do. And Naaman’s skin became well again. It became as clean as a young child’s skin. Then Naaman and all his servants went back to the man of God. Naaman stood in front of the man of God and said, ‘Now I know that there is no God in the whole world except the one in Israel. Now accept a gift from your servant Naaman.’ But Elisha answered him, ‘As surely as the Lord is alive, I will not accept a gift. I am the Lord’s servant.’ Naaman asked him many times to accept a gift but Elisha refused. 2 Kings 5:10‭, ‬14‭-‬16

僕人說：「這一點豈可擺給一百人吃呢？」以利沙說：「你只管給眾人吃吧！因為耶和華如此說，眾人必吃了，還剩下。」 僕人就擺在眾人面前，他們吃了，果然還剩下，正如耶和華所說的。 列王紀下 4:43‭-‬44

But his servant said, ‘How can I give this to 100 men?’ Then Elisha answered, ‘Give it to the people to eat. Do it, because the Lord says, “They will eat. But after the meal there will still be some bread.” ’ So the servant gave the bread to them. And they ate it, but they could not eat all of it. The Lord had said that this would happen. 2 Kings 4:43‭-‬44

以利沙說：「明年到這時候，你必抱一個兒子。」她說：「神人，我主啊，不要那樣欺哄婢女。」 婦人果然懷孕，到了那時候，生了一個兒子，正如以利沙所說的。 列王紀下 4:16‭-‬17

Elisha said, ‘About this time next year, you will have a son in your arms.’ ‘No, my master,’ she said, ‘do not say what is not true to your servant. You are a man of God.’ But the woman did become pregnant. At that time next year she had a son. Elisha had said that this would happen. 2 Kings 4:16‭-‬17
