The Philistines ran after Saul and his sons. They killed his sons Jonathan, Abinadab and Malki-Shua. The Philistines fought very strongly against Saul. Their men with bows shot their arrows at Saul and they nearly killed him. Saul spoke to the officer who carried his armour. Saul said, ‘Kill me with your sword. I do not want those men that nobody has circumcised to make me ashamed. And I do not want them to kill me.’ The officer was afraid. He would not do it. So, Saul took his own sword and he fell on the sharp end. 1 Samuel 31:2-4
