The Lord saw that Manasseh did very bad things. He did all the bad things that the people before him in Canaan had done. The Lord had sent those people away before Israel’s people had come into the country. ……So the Lord said by his servants who were prophets, ……I will no longer help my few people who still remain. I will give them to their enemies. All their enemies will rob them. They will take all their valuable things away. I have seen the evil things that my people have done. They have made me very angry. They have continued to do that since their ancestors came out from Egypt, until today.” ’ 2 Kings 21:2, 10, 14-15
